The circular economy is a model of production and consumption, which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible. In practice, it implies reducing waste to a minimum.
Moving towards a more circular economy could deliver benefits such as reducing pressure on the environment, improving the security of the supply of raw materials and stimulating innovation.
Therefore our sustainability expert Marie-Claire Herrmann and our CEO Dennis Benkmann exchanged ideas with experts from research, politics and industry on today´s conference "Strategies for a circular economy in plastics - The role of European diversity" hosted by the VCW - Association for Chemistry and Economics during this ACHEMA 2022.
