SABEU Kunststoffwerk Northeim GmbH, Christian Sander-Beuermann, Managing Director informs

Over the course of the last years Mr. van Holt and the RBB, a private equity firm owned by Sächsische Sparkassen, were invested in our company. After a successful period both Mr. van Holt and the RBB asked me to investigate new potential strategic investors for SABEU.

In this context I would like to announce that as of February 25, 2010 the Altenloh, Brinck & Co. – Group (ABC) purchased the majority shares of SABEU. I will remain a shareholder and Managing Director of the company.

Both operating units in Northeim and Radeberg will remain as is. The new shareholders agree that SABEU has a strong future and are looking forward to expanding into new fields of business. Being part of a medium size family company will position us financially and operationally stronger and safer in the future. Synergies in procurement and product development as well as access to global subsidiaries will positively influence our products and services.

The ABC Group was founded 187 years ago and is still family owned. The company has about 1.400 employees and is manufacturing coldformed fasteners initially in Germany, today in Germany, France and the USA. Sine 1991 ABC is as well producing metal-plastic components for the automotive and white goods industries in Germany and Mexico. The SPAX branded screw is ABC’s best known product category and it is distributed in 40 countries around the world. In order to achieve the expected growth Mr. Nikolas Dicke with Dr. Hogrebe an me will form the expanded management board of SABEU. Mr. Dicke joined ABC in 2001as Managing Director of ABC’s US operations and in 2007 the ABC Holding company in Ennepetal, Germany.
